manufactured replacement roofs for the Nissan Figaro. Manufactured in house from original style White Vinyl material with High Frequency Welded Stitch Lines this is as close to the original Figaro roof as you will find today.

Even though it is the summer, the rain has decided to come and annoy all you convertible fans. When the sun does finally appear again, there will be more waiting for you and your car hood before you can pop the car hood down. You will have to wait even longer until the soft top hood is completely dry. If you do not dry the car hood out properly, mould and moss can start appearing on the soft top hood.

Very often in spring temperatures such as now, plastic rear windows tear very easily. Hardly any pressure needs to be applied to your plastic window in order to cause damage to it so lowering your car hood can cause fatal damage. People tape it up, and hope for it not to leak – sadly this does not always work.

The other day I approached a Classic Car Owners Club to see whether they knew of any members in need of a new Soft Top Hood. They knew of some members in need of Sunbeam Rapier hoods, but did not expect us to be able to supply them. Well, we do, alonf with Tonneau Covers a Hood Stick Bags!

As we start to think about the Autumn and winter months we have been asked here at ETC by some of our vehicle hood customers if there are any specific measures they should take with their Soft Top in preparation for putting the convertible Hard Top on the car for the winter months. Well the short answer is give your vinyl or mohair hood a good clean then help the car hood as it folds away for the last time before summer.

We never thought we would get away with saying this...but summer does seem to be here, albeit possibly temporarily in the South East. And if you do live in the South East, then, perhaps like me, you woke up find a layer of fine sand on your car this morning? It's important to keep your car hood or soft top conditioned in the winter months, but it's equally, if not more so important to protect it from the heat, direct sun UV's and acidic rain in the summer months as well.
